HIGH DESERT • SLOW LIVING
CENTRAL OREGON

Who We Are
We are a family rooted in hard work, open land, and a respect for doing things the right way. Everything we raise and grow is shaped by the seasons, the pace of ranch life, and a commitment to producing something honest. We believe good things take time—whether it’s caring for animals, working the land, or building a life connected to both.
What We Do
-
Quarter and half beef shares from cattle thoughtfully raised here in Central Oregon. A beef share is a simple way to stock your freezer with high-quality, locally raised beef while supporting a ranch committed to responsible stewardship and honest production.
-
Livestock is a growing part of the vision for Mellow Marmot Ranch. While we’re still shaping exactly what that program will look like long-term, we envision building around a strong foundation of cow/calf production, registered Shorthorn cattle, feeder steers, bull services, and opportunities for 4H and show families. Our goal is to create a program rooted in good stock, practical ranching, and a genuine passion for the breed and lifestyle.
-
Flowers are an evolving part of the vision for Mellow Marmot Ranch. The 2026 season will be focused on learning, experimenting, and thoughtfully piloting a small number of offerings as we continue to refine our approach and grow our craft. We’re intentionally taking our time with the goal of building toward a fuller flower launch in 2027 centered around seasonal blooms, quality, and a strong connection to the rhythms of Central Oregon.
“I come from people who worked the land because they had to. My grandparents followed seasonal farm work throughout Oregon and California. They would raise one livestock animal at a time to help feed their family of seven.
Two generations later, we have the opportunity to build something of our own on land we’re proud to steward here in Central Oregon.
Mellow Marmot Ranch is our way of staying connected to that legacy of hard work, resourcefulness, and living close to the land.”
